Este is a First Generation student from Arizona. She completed an internship in Thessaloniki, Greece where she witnessed a heart surgery first-hand and gained confidence in her future.

DeLaney Anderson is a First Generation student from South Dakota. Her parents instilled in her a love for serving others. She joined the Barrott Lab in the College of Life Sciences to study cancer and help patients get better care.

Students from the College of Life Sciences share their experiences from a transformative study abroad in Costa Rica. Over ten days, they explored one of the world’s renowned blue zones—regions where people live longer, healthier lives—and immersed themselves in the vibrant Pura Vida lifestyle.
