I am a Junior majoring in Cell Biology and Physiology with a minor in Computer Science from Spokane Washington. Besides working in the lab, I love to bake, swim, run, and watch something new from the international cinema here on campus. Currently I am engaged in discovering novel genes involved in zebrafish heart development using a newly developed CRISPR screen method, as well as genes involved in the development of the halophile bacteria Kushneria. I look forward to applying to MD/Phd programs in the coming year.
