Sebaceous Gland

  • A: Sebaceous gland has a very distinct look as it is arranged in globs that look much like a cluster of berries and histologically it is named simple multicellular branched acinar gland

    B: The epidermis is stratified squamous epithelium and is the easiest way to know where you are in the body.

  • A: The loose connective tissue of the dermis surrounds the sebaceous glands.

    B: The sebaceous gland secretes sebum by way of the hair follicle. The sebaceous gland has noticeable granules and centrally located nuclei.
