Cerebrum

  • A: White matter is located in the inside of the cerebrum. White matter is comprised of the axons of the neuron.

    B: Grey matter is located on the cortex or exterior of cerebrum and is comprised of the cell bodies of the neuron
  • A: Outer molecular or plexiform layer is found on the cortex of the cerebrum and has very few nuclei

    B: Outer granular layer

    C: Outer pyramidal has large cells shaped in a pyramid

    D: Inner granular has small nuclei

    E: Inner pyramidal also has pyramid shaped cells

    F: Multiform layer has small granules in it.
  • A: White matter located in the center of the cerebrum

    B: Polymorphous or multiform layer

    C: Inner pyramidal layer

    D: Inner granular layer
